Hi,
I am having AMD Phenom II X4 925 and ASUS motherboard, earlier I had 2Gb of DDR3 RAM with 1333Mhz. Now i have purchased Corsair XMS3 4Gb DDR3 1600Mhz module with dual channel. When I installed both modules my PC didn't turn on, machine did start but nothing came up on Monitor. I was suggested by some members on the forums that change BIOS settings, however i don't see speeds that are anywhere near both these modules and speeds are significantly lower. Now my OS is also crashing every now and then. The blue screen appears all the time and it is driving me nuts. installing both modules does show 6Gb of installed RAM however OS crashes all the while. If i install the new module it is not even recognized by machine and nothing appears on monitor. What could be the issue? any solution to this problem? Please help.

Part of the problem is you have two different voltage ram modules which makes it difficult to find a happy medium for the two which is likely why the motherboard clocks them so low together. Going to suggest a screenshot of CPU-Z memory tab with both modules installed - I'm curious as to what it's running. You might try manually setting your ram to 1.65V if it isn't already there, it probably won't be good for the Kingston stuff but they do have a lifetime warranty...
I'm going to first suggest you take out the original 2GB of ram and simply run the Corsair 4GB. If you really want to run the mixed ram (again, I don't suggest that route) you will need to run it at 1333MHz and the highest timings settings of the two sets. Even with those settings, there is no guarantee of stability. I think you'll be better off just running the 1600MHz ram

That was my first attempt, but the Problem is when i install single module of 4Gb it is not identified by the machine. The Machine does start but the monitor doesn't display anything and the red button keeps on blinking. When i went to BIOS to change the frequency of the i cannot see speeds anywhere near the speed of the Module, highest being 800Mhz. But when i install both RAM modules and keep Frequency on AUTO it does work. This problem started only after i changed my Windows 7 from 32 bit OS to 64 bit OS.

We may be getting somewhere here, this is a q&a from Asus I found which may be helpful.

"I recently upgraded my memory modules. After the upgrade, sometimes my system is not stable. It may get BSOD or hang during OS loading. How do I resolve this issue?

The issue may be related to the voltage setting of your memory modules. The standard operating voltages of DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules, as defined by JEDEC, are 1.8V and 1.5V, respectively. However, some of the memory modules require higher operating voltage than JEDEC’s standards. In such case, the memory may sometimes not be able to function properly without enough voltage.
When you encounter instability issue, please first check the operating voltage of your memory modules, and please manually set the memory voltage accordingly in the BIOS."
Another thing I found in your manual regarding ram is the statement "Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency. For optimum compatibility, we recommend that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor."
I think I have your 4GB ram here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145328 can you confirm that and is there any way you can link me the original 2GB - I'm hoping I can figure settings that'll work

In fact I did try to change the voltage but system didn't allow me to that. Which 4gb ddr3 module would you suggest me fir my motherboard? Should that be of Kingston only?

It didn't, windows crashed all the time with Blue Screen error. when i removed it, it worked. What could be the reason behind single 4Gb installed mobule not working? I can't even get to BIOS setting with single 4gb module installed, screen remains dark

I'm thinking that you may have your DIMM in the 'wrong' slot - is the ram in slot A1, the middle blue slot (closest to the CPU)? That's where I would place a single module (even though the manual doesn't specify), you might try that...
Sorry if it appears I dropped this, was looking at possible voltage combos that might work (unsuccessfully I might add)

I am guessing that you might have to get another 4GiB RAM module.
Just try a single one of the other RAM modules and if they don't work in single mode you got your answer.
