Ok for a while now whenever Im watching a youtube video or listening to music the sound will like make a noise that I can only compare to the sound of a Transformer transforming lol It like drags for a second and makes a glitchy robot noise usually happens when I am typing and listening to music or a video. Im pretty sure it might be my sound card. Im using a laptop btw running Windows 8.

I'm also getting some messed up robotic sounds on my new win 8 pc. Asrock has approved an RMA but I'm having a LAN soon and can't wait the 3 weeks. Drivers up to date (also re-installed), BIOS up to date, RAM has been reseated etc.

All has been done as recommended by ASROCK except for reseating the CPU. (obviously I can't do this without buying new paste).
Asrock z87e-itx
Intel i5-4570 4th gen
Corsair Vengeance Pro 8BG DDR3 1600mhz
Gigabyte Windforce GTX780 OC
OCZ 750W fatality PSU
Corsair 64gb SSD in RAID w/West Dig. Black Scorpion 750GB (intel rapid storage)

Sorry to hear! It sucks when you've got a new computer and it does weird shit. Ok so from memory, I RMA'd my motherboard only to have it sent back to me with no changes.

However, the problem fixed itself anyway without doing any additional formats I think (shit I can't remember, they're were so many formats during troubleshooting).

So the theory is that you should check that no pins are damaged in your motherboard socket from careless cpu installation and also just re sit the cpu anyway with new thermal paste.

I didn't have any damage to the board but just check it out. Perhaps you didn't click the cpu fan in properly in one or two clean presses.

I hope this helps. If the problem still persists and you've already updated your bios and installed chipset drivers properly, checked ram (swapped), checked psu (swapped), and checked gpu (swapped) and the errors still appear than your last chance is to reformat. Also check your ssd cache drive and hdd for errors.

Good luck!
