Mouse and keyboard won't light up during Windows logo and Windows won't load in.

So basically this started a few days ago when I reinstalled windows 7.

When I boot it up for the first time the mouse and keyboard lights up during the BIOS post and I can use it there, but when the Windows logo appears and it starts loading in , the keyboard and mouse won't work and loading stops too.

If I keep pressing Caps lock for example then it lights up for a few seconds but that's it.

After this I press the reset button and it works just fine at the second boot.

It asks me if I want to start windows normally or do a repair.

Any tips?

Asus M5A87 motherboard, Razer Deathadder mouse with drivers installed, random logitech keyboards without drivers.

Other than this there are absolutely no errors at all.

  1. umm try running intel driver utility to update your chipset drivers
  2. If you replug mouse and keyboard on windows logo it will work fine. It's conflict with usb drivers loading in windows. Update windows to service pack 1 and do update of chipset as Alvine said. I had to do BIOS update as well to make it work.
  3. I've got AMD CPU & GPU. I tried to look for newer chipset but I got the latest one.
