I have just moved house and managed to knock over my computer unit, it wasn't a massive bang but seems to have been enough to screw up something. Now when I start up after bios I get a plane blue screen. So I removed then reinstalled the graphics card which I now think feels a bit loose and restarted while hold the weight of the card slightly and now I get windows desktop screen but with artifacts. If I open a web page for example, the screen instantly goes back to the blank blue screen. Anyone got any suggestions? Could it be the motherboard? Or most likely GPU card?

download and burn an iso of memtest86 from another computer. once you get that cd boot form it on your problematic computer. that program will check for errors in your ram. if you get errors then you have replace the ram...problematic ram is known to give random blue screens...you can also check your cpu temeratures in bios to make sure its not overheating....get prime 95 to stress test the cpu and coretemp to check your temeratures to make sure your idle/load temeratures are in check as if the pc is overheating it will give you blue screens too

It may be that the alignment of the motherboard is slightly off. I would recommend removing the cards, loosen the screws to the mobo, and make the sure cards fit perfectly in the slots. When alignment is perfect, tighten the screws to the mobo (you may have to remove the cards again to tighten all screws. Do not over tighten the screws - just a good snug fit.

Reinstall all cards, and make sure they are secure, and give it a try. While everything is open - verify the connections to all peripherials (power, SATA cables, mobo-case cables, etc...).
