Is supplemental CPU power for both AMD and Intel based systems?

Yes, 4 pin ATX12V is featured on both systems. The 8 pin EPS12V is also featured on both systems but usually only on higher end boards and then on the extreme side, there are some boards from both camps that feature both 4pin and 8pin but those connections are usually only used when supercooling the mobo and extreme overclocking
