Hi everyone,

I just moved my computer to a shallow space on a wall in my living room. I bolted my 22" monitor to the wall, and I'd like the computer to fit on a shelf next to it.

Space requirements :
The space I have reserved for it is 10.5" deep by 14.5" wide by 12" high. The depth include the space that must be reserved for protruding cables. If I really need to, I could also put it on another shelf that is 13" deep , 14.5" wide and has unlimited height.

Performance requirements:
I currently have the following and would like the upgrade to maintain the performance while keeping the costs down. I mostly browse and do office work, but I still want to be able to play older games such as EU3 and company of heroes.

Current computer:
Case: Antec Sonata 1 (ATX)
Power supply: Seasonic 330W (ATX)
Motherboard:M4A77TD (ATX factor)
CPU : AMD Phenom II x4 900E Processor AM3 with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct heatsink
Video: HD4850 Powercolor 512MB
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24
HDD: 3.5" 640GB hdd.
dvd writer

My current plan is the following:
1) Try to sell the old case, mobo and cpu
2) Keep the PSU, video card, ram and hdd. Buy new case, mobo and CPU. No optical drive.

Here is
Buy a used silverstone SG05 without the PSU . Dimensions : 8.7" x 6.9" x 10.9" and it apparently will fit my long HD4850 card. It is a bit too deep, but if it doesnt work I'll just put it sideways.

Now I need a mobo and CPU. This is where I need the most help. I'd like to pay about 140-200$ for this combo. What would you recommend?

I will need wifi since there is no network cable in that part of the house. Bluetooth would be interesting, but not necessary. No need for fancy audio outputs, I use an older 2 channel receiver from the 80s. USB3 also isnt needed for now

Quietness is a factor. My current CPU fan is way too loud for my liking.

Mobo I've noticed :

65$ (including shipping) Foxconn H61S LGA 1155

79$ GIGABYTE GA-H61N-USB3 LGA
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128526

109$, has wifi and bluetooth : GIGABYTE GA-H77N-WIFI LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128567&Tpk=h77%20wifi&IsVirtualParent=1

CPU I've noticed: I dont know.

Thank you for looking at this!

Hi Rico,

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

I'm afraid that the case is too deep (16.5" inch deep, or 60% too deep) and that a micro atx motherboard wouldnt fit in a small enough case.

That video card might come in handy if I cant fit my hd4850 in the new computer (or if I sell it).

thanks!
