i5-3350p with a radeon hd 7750 1gb

will this build be able to play the recent pc games and one to be released

first time build any advice will be helpful

my next option would be a i3-3220 with a hd 7770

Not a very proportionate combination. A more powerful video card like a 7850 would be a better match for that i5.

Sure it will, virtually all that are out there, you may need to sacrifice settings here and there (medium or low textures, no AA function etc.) to get decent frame rates but I don't know of anything you wouldn't be able to play with at least 30fps. Bumping up to a 7770 does provide noticable benefits though. Can't really say about what is to be released, there are rumoured to be some new physics engines in development...
