What will be the primary use of this Pc? The reason I sak is because you may not need the 16gb of ram and can use 8 gb for gaming and most other things. If your doing any kind of editing then I can see a need. The max purchase price of 1700 is your budget? Is this a prebuilt or something that your building yourself. Do you have intentions of adding a second video card? If you are then a larger Psu could be needed and you may want to add that now rather than later.

just gaming but i like the extra ram, build my self, and i just put that max there so i wouldnt go over it, this is cheaper then that, also no second video card i have no purpose for one. thanks for the comment :)

Ok , then the build as you have posted it is a good one and you should do well with it , very good video card. Check the power supply requirements of the video card that you have selected to make sure you get the correct size , some high power video cards want a 650w psu.

8GB will handle your uses fine, but there's no harm in extra RAM I suppose (apart from a lighter wallet). You didn't list a case? Otherwise everything else looks great :)

No harm but no need either.

For gaming this will be a far better use of $1700:

I have found that for the most part a case is a personal like or dislike thing where someone may like a certian case and another person may not. A mid-tower with ample room inside and three or more fans is a good start. A side window is nice if you plan on doing any cable management and/or lighting. Look through the selections at Newegg to see what you might like and then you can try to find a better price at another store.

You may not want to spend this much but these are nice cases.

As you can see a case choice can take awhile with all the different choices.

I'd take a Define R4 over the Level 10 any day of the week.
