Moving Slim desktop MOBO from small case to bigger

Now, there is another thread, but, there seems to be a problem with mine, since i own a Hp compaq 8100 elite sff, the mobo is literaly backwards:

so, as you can see, the desktop Mobo wont fit beacuse, the motherboard is mest up, Is there any case i can buy that will allow a ATX PSU and a full size GPU? or am i gonna have to build a case?

Your motherboard is neither "mest" up nor backwards. It's called a BTX form factor. Find a case that accepts a BTX form factor motherboard.

They're primarily only OEM available. The only option I've found for retail (previously) was the Thermaltake Armor or Mozart TX with an optional BTX upgrade kit.

AH, anyways, since i look at BTX mobo on google images, it seems like the CPU is oriented differently.... would this be a concern?

No. It's not a concern. Your only real concern was the layout of the rear I/O ports and expansion slots. If you rotate the top image 90 degrees to the left, you'll see the rear I/O ports and expansion slots line up.

Well, i was wondering if it was possible to install an aftermarket heatsink, but, i do not know if the holes for the two different mobo's where the cpu sits, are different, beacuse, wouldnt the holes have to be parallel with the cpu?

What aftermarket heatsink you get is going to depend on the CPU socket type, not the motherboard form factor.

*Should* be the same. We are talking about an OEM motherboard. If the heatsink you get is compatible with the LGA1156 CPU socket, it *should* fit without issue.
