I purchased the video card stated in the title to replace my amd radeon hd 6750, however after inserting the video card into the pci-e and connecting the 6 pin psu connecter and booting up the pc with the hdmi plugged into the video card, my monitor didn't detect any activity from the hdmi. Previously with my past two video cards the hdmi was able to work fine from first time installation, so i've ruled the cable out. I switched to the integrated gpu on the mobo to gain visuals, from there I proceeded to install the drivers from the cd that came with the card, after which I was given the option to restart which I did, upon signing in a notification stating that no drivers were installed due to the specified hardware not being located. However when I took a look at the device manager it showed an unidentified device inserted in the pci-e , I assumed this was the video card since I tried booting my pc with the card removed and the unidentified device no longer appeared. I tried going to amd's website to download their latest drives, restarted the pc, and the same issue persisted. I'm going to have one more go at it tonight when I get back home before I return it tomorrow. Thanks in advanced!

right-click on device in device manager and click install driver.

you might have to manually select it but it should pick it up automatically

Drivers are needed only for OS, on boot should work normally.

Which motherboard are you using?

Do you have onboard speaker installed? If so how many beeps do you hear when PC boots?

How did you set your GPU boot list in BIOS?

Thank you guys for replying, on my bum attempt to fix the issue it actually ended up working. All i had to do was use a different pci-e to psu cable that was already there. once again thank you guys for replying!
