Hello, been at this for a day and need some help.

I just upgraded to an Asus P8Z77-V LX MB with i5 3750 chip and 2x8GB Corsair DDR3. The system starts with the ASUS screen, then switches to "Starting Windows." Before the windows logo can form, a Blue screen appears and disappears in under a second and the computer is restarting. After this I am being asked to run system repair or start normally. At the beginning I selected repair but after the first 10 times that it found 0 errors I stopped selecting this option.

I am running:
Asus P8Z77-V LX MB new
Intel i5 3570 new
2x8GB Corsair CML16GX3MA2A1600C10 new
Intel SSD 120GB drive windows 7 - 32 bit is installed on this
Seagate 1TB HD - extra storage
PNY Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti
1000 Watt mod power supply

Initially I had an error starting with the long and 3 short beeps as the wires around my CPU fan were wound too tight and it couldnt move, but that was fixed on the 2nd boot up.

I tried using 1 DIMM in each of the 4 slots and then using the other in the same fashion. Windows (as well as the MB) seem to think the RAM are functional with their special button on the MB and windows startup utility.

I successfully installed the latest version of the BIOS which was implemented earlier this month.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Scout: the code I think has a bunch of 0's in it, but the screen leaves and the computer restarts too quickly for me to read it. I even tried to capture a video on my android but I can't seem to pause it in the right spot to see it, it is so fast!

Brett: After reading the manual (several times...), I did not get the impression that reinstalling windows was mandatory. If your experience tells you that this is the route I should go then I will do this. The part holding me back from this is where windows says that it will format and erase all of my files/programs on it and I was hoping that this would not come to pass. Is this atleast an almost for sure fix?

Hi :)

Yes it probably will fix it..but you MUST save your data FIRST....

All the best Brett :)
