Well I'm no AMD expert but I have some experience OCing Intel chips, and from what I've heard those 8350s usually run hot, so running at or below ambient at idle and at what most other chips run at idle on load, I'd say you look good lol. My buddy has his 8350 running at 5 I think, but I can't remember the temps he was running, I'll have to ask him

From what I can see so far this cpu looks to be a good one for folding at home

After reading up a bit on one of my other sites, those temps look just about right, apparently your chip runss really cool at idle, sometimes reading below ambient, your core temps look good though, my buddy says he doesn't get over 60C with a custom loop stable at 5.1

the core temps read funny on them sometimes, apparently checking the socket temps things look more normal when idle

Air cooling??? its watercooled.... Anyway.... bios confirms.

Big difference between OP's 35°C (during Prime run) and your friends not going over 60°C with a custom loop. Just making sure he is getting right readings (don't want people to fry something because of wrong readings). In Core temp which I am running in two rigs I have to set offset 10 and 12°C respectively.

Yeah im trying to figure out what my actual temps are. There doesn't seem to be a very good way to do this.

That is good then because the BIOS is calibrated for the sensor.

Hum to my knowledge and have tested this theory the 8350 shuts off at 60c lmao. so 60c temps dont seem to be right

Yeah but OP is running stock so likely to be big temp difference, but I totally agree, need to make sure he is getting correct readings.
