It is manual, I just snapped it in place and when working showed 64 gb ram so I assume that is not he problem. The error is micro code not found
Thanks Greg

1) The issue is that your CPU needs UEFI update 2104 to work. You cannot update to this build from a previous one on your system as it needs to POST to perform the .CAP conversion (needs a supported CPU to POST). You need to ask ASUS Support for a BIOS chip with version 2104 or later on it.

2) If after getting the replacement CPU you have any POST or stability issues, will likely need to setup memory manually (I don't mean "snapping it into place" physically, I mean setting timings or the XMP profile in UEFI).

Well here is the deal RAJA
I had Asus send me a new board and while I was waiting and waiting and waiting I bought a 79 WS board.
It did the same thing. both are later than 2104 and I have two SSE Samsung 256 I had them in raid 0, the system was really great. for about a day.The next day I went to boot and it said 0E (micro code not found)
I called Asus and after forever they said ya its a mother board, Two bad boards come on guys. The third board got here and it had bent processor pins and screws missing from a modual. actual dirt on the board between the sockets etc.
OK I did parted magic as i got a SSD fail what the ???
so I did the parted magic and it says back to new but who knows.
I try to do a raid 0 with the two ssd but windows starts to load and than it says driver missing for dvd player. I put in the disc but no good. I have tried another dvd and the same msg again..
Asus is going to fight meand i will not give up on getting the resolved.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I am running G skill F3 19200 10Q2-64GBZHD
I7 3970
680GTX
OH by the way I have a 10,000 rpm HHD that when pluged in I also get a 0E eror. after unplug reboot it is gone.
I tried one ssd at a time and cant get past the windows asking for a drive as I said above.
Thanks again
Greg

I suspect part of the issue is that the memory may not be stable unless you've set it up correctly. What adjustments have you made in UEFI for that kit? 64GB is seldom plug-and-play as users hope it's going to be.

As a debug, run only 4 modules and set the XMP profile for the kit in UEFI. Start from there. After that, let's see what happens when you try an install the IRST driver.

OK your talking to an idiot and first time build
I know how to instal just four as the book shows that and I know how tro get to the bios but I know nothing about what settings to set etc or the irst drivers
I did set the volts to 155 for both ab cd
but thats about the only risk icoud do.
also when I did that i was able to load wind 7 but the ssd shows 119GB used on bothe drives as I did them seperate just to get it going.
I wanted it raid 0 and had that but it only lasted a day.
the clock speed only showed 1333 at 3.5
Hopes this helps with any suggestion would always be appreciated

My goodness, you've taken on quite the task for someone that has never built before. You're in for a bit of a challenge, but I guess you know that already don't you? :)

In this guide, you'll see where to find the XMP setting:
http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?5836-ASUS-Rampage-IV-Extreme-Easy-Overclock-Guide&country=&status=

Set XMP, BUT set the memory divider ratio to 1333 manually for now. I suggest that for now because, you're starting out and dont want to be fooling with an unstable system right off the bat. Don't follow the rest of that guide for the other overclock settings. I've just linked you to that so you can see where the XMP setting is.

You may need to update UEFI to the latest version. Depending on which version your board shipped with, you may need this guide here:

http://event.asus.com/2012/mb/USB_BIOS_Flashback_GUIDE/

If you already have .CAP BIOS then you won't need to do the conversion. You need the latest BIOS to follow the guide below for RAID as well (early builds don't have the UEFI RAID Driver built in).

For RAID, I suggest you follow this guide here:

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?30520-RAMPAGE-Windows-8-7-UEFI-Installation-Guide&country=&status=

Yes more than I bargain for lol
I will try this all tonight but I do have another question. When I put the operation system in it takes up of the 256 gb. 121-128gb
Is this correct or ??? I know the 3.9 gb disc Is compressed but if I had a 120 gb ssd it would not have any space for anything. Am I doing something wrong in your opinion?
And again thank you for your time and knowledge
Greg
