Im graduating this year and i'm getting $500 to build myself a new computer. I know a decent amount about computers so this shouldnt be a problem, I just would like to customize my own without having to check parts for compatiblity for hours. Looking for something with a really good graphics card for online gaming and can also run up to 3 monitors, 6-8gigs of ram, 4-8core processor, dont care about burning CDs but i need a disc drive, and of course a bad ass motherboard & power supply to go with. I also would need a case.
I know this sounds like alot, so i didnt know if it would be better to go with a kit from newegg.. i figured something better could be found with a little digging haha. Something close to http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1189055 would be nice

Thanks alot you guys :)

That computer you linked doesn't have a video card, so it won't play games well at all. It also doesn't have an OS, which I assume you will be needing? You want to game on three monitors with a computer for under 500 bucks and have it run smoothly? I bet that can't be done. Unless of course you meant you will be gaming on one monitor, but just want the ability to have three monitors connected.

"Looking for something with a really good graphics card for online gaming and can also run up to 3 monitors" yet you post a link to a computer that doesn't even have a graphics card and already goes over your limit. Hate to break the truth to you, but there's no way you'll be running 3 monitors at decent frames/image quality with $500 (alright, perhaps you can with games from 2005 but I'd suppose you want to play new games too). Hell, you would barely even afford 3 proper monitors with $500 itself. However, if you have the monitors already then check this link out: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pc-gaming-overclock-build-a-pc,3443.html that's a pretty decent gaming computer that should fit your needs (it does cost $600 though but you can get a cheaper dual core cpu and probably get a nice $60-70 off)

I realize that CPU didn't have a video card that's why im trying to customize something. I'm not trying to game on 3 monitors, just being able to use more than one.. That isn't a big deal tho. I'm pretty limited on the 500 but I can go over, I just have to pay the rest myself.
I don't even want to buy a kit, I just figured it was easier than checking everything for compatibility. If anyone has a website I could just input the specs I want and then check it all that would be great. But that sounds to good to be true.
Basic specs I'm looking for: 6core processor(I could deal with a quad if I must, just figured 6 would run smoother), at least 8gigs of ram(prefer more), a nice videocard and motherboard(both of those idk much about either of these, but I'd like the best I can get with my budget). As far as an operating system I will get that on my own so don't include that or speakers/mouse/keyboard/monitors.
I'm looking at that over clocking forum now, I know very little about this.. But it sounds pretty nice so far haha
