Best cooler for new build?

I will have an i7-3770k, Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UD4H motherboard, G.Skill Ripjaws X series 16gb 1600 for the RAM, and a Sapphire HD7970, all in a Fractal Design Define R4 case. Right now I'm thinking the Noctua NH-D14, but I was wondering if anybody had better ideas. Please leave room for future upgrades in graphics cards and RAM. Also, watercooling options are okay, provided that they are within $10 or so of the Noctua. Thanks!!

The Noctua cooler is probably the best air cooler out there, it received good reviews from Tom's Hardware and is sometimes featured in builds and also in some BestConfig winners, and if watercooling is too fiddly for you and you don't need it, I would use the Noctua. But look at the dimensions and see if it will all fit because the Noctua is GIANT. Also we need to know if you are going to overclock.

EDIT: I didn't see the new replies, How much are you planning to overclock?
The NH-D14 seems to be the more popular in Tom's Hardware, or have I missed some articles?
Anyway, since you have $100 to spend on a cooler and will overclock on the i7, don't get the 212.

Will they be enough if I decided to overclock? If I can improve on performance for cheaper, I'm all ears, but I want to make sure it will be plenty cool for extended rendering/gaming sessions. I have around $100 to spend on a CPU cooler, so I can afford a pretty good amount.

I think I will be going with the Noctua; the reviews on Tom's Hardware are just so good. I had the build checked and the size should be fine :) Thanks everyone!
