Hi guys,

Recently I've gotten a new rig up and have plans to overclock it in the future. Initially, due to the bad thermal paste job by the technician, the rig didn't perform too well in load test for the temperatures and was hitting 70C at stock P95.

I resat the 212 EVO and probably did or did not do a good job on it.

Here are the temperatures, would appreciate some advise on whether to reseat it again and some tips to getting a better temperature.

[Stock]
Voltage: 1.08+
Multiplier: Stock 34
Ambient Temp: 24-25C
Idle Temp: 31-33 C
P95 Temp (10mins): 59-61 C

[Trial OC]
Voltage: 1.1x+ (Off my mind IIRC, i followed the overclock net guide to up the voltage thing by 1 step up only, like +0.005 and turbo +0.004)
Multiplier: 40
Ambient Temp: 24-25C
Idle Temp: 31-33 C
P95 Temp (10mins): 66-71C

Is this normal or can I shave off more degrees by reseating the HSF again? I've only up the voltage a little to try the temperatures but it seems to be hitting 70 71C too soon at 4.0ghz.

Other notes: I'm using the Xigmatek Asgard Migard 2 case with 1 Front and 1 Exhaust Fan.

1) Pea method and then sitting the cooler on straight to let it spread by itself, but i sort of twisted the HSF while screwing it in.

2) 1 fan in push.

3) so the current temps are okay? seems a little high given that i havent really up the voltage alot.

1) would another hsf fan make a big difference or should i spend the cash on another front intake fan ?

i might try shifting the hard disk downwards and removing the hdd brackets for better front air intake.

2) undervolting, according to the guide it says not to negative volt it. is undervolting equals negative volting it?

i would at least like to hit 4.3 on this cooler with the current temps in the near future. so theres no need to resit my evo here eh?
