power state failure

my computer is having problem of power state failure. it has windows 8. RAM of 6 GB. and the clicking using the touchapd is not possible, only movements of the pointer. what should i do?

i know nothing about the drivers. i.e, i do not know which drivers are proper and which ones are not. the pc is new, not more than a month in use now.
