Hey guys, I'm planning to upgrade my Graphics card so I can run games like BF3 and Crisis 3 on medium settings 1920x1080p, I was wondering if the AMD Radeon HD 7850 2gb was a good choice, and if it will fit, and be compatible with my pc,I have a Dell Xps 8300 Desktop.
PC Specs:
Mainboard : Dell 0Y2MRG
Processor : Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3100 MHz
Physical Memory : 6144 MBDDR3-SDRAM
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 405
Hard Disk : Seagate ST31000524AS (1000GB)
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
DirectX : Version 11.00

I also plan on getting the Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit, will this fit and will it be powerful enough for the card?
Thanks guys.

Quick Edit: Its the Sapphire 11200-07-20G Graphics Card (2GB, HD7850, GDDR5) To be exact.

Your Dell is listed with a 460w PSU, but confirm that by looking at the PSU sticker. For the most part, Dell started using decent PSUs in their systems. AMD lists "500w minimum" but they are VERY conservative with those numbers so as to accommodate the absolute-garbage PSUs that claim a certain wattage without really providing it. Having not seen your actual PSU, I can't guarantee anything, but if it is a decent 460w then it'll probably do just fine with a 7850. If you are concerned, then a quality 500w replacement will do it. [strike]If I was you I'd grab the 2gb 7850 but I haven't looked at price differences recently to be able to justify it. At the very least, the 2gb model will have a lot more resale value as people CrossFire down...
Nice choice
Fully compatible and the PSU can handle it.
7850 from a nvidia 450 will be a mind blowing upgrade
med high settings at 1080p will deffinately be possible in the better part of most games, simply leave AA off for best results.

You do not need to upgrade the PSU what you have will work fine.

Thanks man, just wondering, the 600 watt psu isn't the one I have, are you sure the one I have can handle as I didn't mention the psu I have as I don't know what one it is. Once again, thanks.
