Question about this card I found

So I was digging through some old stuff and found this Geforce 7300 GT I had in my build years ago. I'm currently running a 7950 so I dont have need for it now. But I read that people use low end nvidia cards for physx, I dont know anything about doing this but would it make sense for me?

If I end up not using the card I'm considering giving it to my friend who only has an A6-3650 APU, would using this card be an improvement? It's a lenovo pc with only a 280 watt (I think) psu, would putting in this card be too much as far as power goes?

The minimum requirement to support GPU-accelerated PhysX is a GeForce 8-series or later GPU with a minimum of 32 cores and a minimum of 256MB dedicated graphics memory. However, each PhysX application has its own GPU and memory recommendations. In general, 512MB of graphics memory is recommended unless you have a GPU that is dedicated to PhysX.

So no 7XXX gt wont do it.
Second the gains would be minimal on such a low end card.
Third, its not a simple thing to run one AMD and one NVidia card, not a simple thing AT ALL.

Now your friend won't benefit from such an old card either. The A6's onboard iGPU is actuall a lot better than the 7300gt. As you can see below the 6530D graphics on the A6 is 3 tiers higher than the 7300gt.

So that card is pretty much a soon-to-be-collector. I still have an old 7200gt! LOL!

he wants to be able to run his LED monitor off DVI instead of VGA but the mobo on his crap lenovo doesnt have DVI. Would a 280w psu even be able to take a graphics card? hes not a gamer or anything so doesnt need much, but i guess upgrading the psu is probably a good idea eh.

LOL anything older than the massive performance increase on 8xxxgt series is now very useless. Even the older LEGENDARY 6600gt, which I also have in working order... LOL
