I recently took delivery of an MSI Z77-G43 ATX motherboard, I have attempted to fit it into a Zalman Z11 standard case, it is of alignment or something, I suspect the stand-off`s is the problem but I don`t really know what`s wrong.

Solution
I fitted the zalman z11 today, what you need to do is use align your board without any screws first to see the position of where the 9 holes on your board should go, then place the 9 silver thumb screws in the board positions ideally from right to left but I did this after i placed the io shield while pushing the motherboard to the io shield with onehand and screwing with another hand so that it would fit properly... it was quite difficult for myself also but it worked in the end :) hope i helped.

I don't think anyone will be able to help you unless you provide more details, ideally pictures really.

As you mention stand offs, it's possible that they aren't in the right places on the case but it's fairly unlikely. If you have an older motherboard lying around you should try with it.
