I opened my PS3 to repair it myself. All was going to plan when I realized (this is my first time tinkering with computer anything) that instead of taking the connector out I took the pins with it as well.

They are in working form from what I can see. I was wondering if I could use electrical tape to attach the pins and connector to theboard where they where ripped from, I know this is where they were taken from I can see the 3 lines of metal where they should be.

So theoratically I put the pins back in place so they connect where they were and it will work right?

Soldering attaches it to the board right? What is required for me to solder it on there, a cheap fix would be great. Sorry if im an idiot but as I said I dont know diddly dick about this

Perhaps I havent provided enough info or am using the wrong terminolgy.
The thing I broke was I took the connectors off the board itself. The prongs (3 of them) went in 3 lines like this = . The purpose of soldering is to attach it so it doesnt move. I could do this with tape because when I examined the other prongs they were connected to the board using some sort of clear tape. I'll post a pic tomorrow when I open it up again. Thanks for your patience.
