Mobo: GA-990FXA-UD7
CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: 4x4GB 1600mhz
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Issue: My system info tells me that I have 12gb installed and 7.98gb usable ram.
I have tried 2 sticks and can only get 8gb to show or 6gb. Strange? I have the most recent BIOS update too. I looked up the compatible memory for this mobo and for 1600mhz my model is listed - KHX1600C9D3K3 but with a /12GX after it. Does the 12GX mean its the max supported for this kind of ram? Please help!

EDIT:
I am running a PNY 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 630
SiSoftware Sandra and CPUZ both say see the 4 sticks of 4GB ram
System Info says only 12 installed
Resource Monitor says: Total:8173MB and Installed:12288MB
