gtx 650 ti 400w psu? or 500w psu?

does nvidia gtx 650 ti need a 500 w power supply? :??: on nvidia website it says minimum 400 w required. The case im buying has a 400 w psu so do i really need a 500 w psu? i don't want to spend on a new psu if it's not necessary. pls help and thanks in advance for all the suggestions :)

Depending on your other hardware id say go with a 500w just to be safe.
Don't cheap out on a PSU though, get a good quality one such as Corsair or Seasonic.
Bundled PSU's with cases are usually trash especially cheap ones.

Its says you just need 400 w just to be safe you should get more for your other parts. Hmmm you don't really need more watts. Until you get more stuff that needs more watts. But you can get the 500 w, it wont kill the video card.

but i've read some other post, they say running on a minimum of 400 w will cause performance issues. thanks for the reply. i guess i should buy a 500 w psu

No problem :) :D And it happen to me too I had low watts and my computer went off and on and off.

thanks for the suggestion. i'll get a corsair 500 w psu
 
well, first, buying at least a good 550w should help you prepare for future upgrades (somewhat). gpu's are getting more efficient.

second, most cases that comes with a psu usually has generic psu's, not high quality. so i suggest you get a good psu, try corsair or seasonic or any good brand.
if you try to look, most cases (the good ones), do not come with psu's in them and yet they cost more than those who comes with psu
