Hi, I haven't built a computer for 8 years already. I was looking to build a new powerful machine for gaming/compiling (programmer).

Here are the parts I currently selected.

Was wondering if they were compatible especially the case and motherboard LED/USB ports. Also I haven't selected a PSU yet and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for the PSU as well as any parts I should've gotten instead of the ones I got.

Budget : $1000-$1100.

This will not play games at 1080p. The video card is junk. You want a 7850/gtx660 MINIMUM for solid medium/ maybe some higher settings at 1080p.
Get a 500w+ PSU from Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic.
Get a much cheaper motherboard.
Get low profile RAM.
10000rpm drives are stupid. They are a waste of money and aren't really any faster than a normal 7200rpm drive.

Would you guys mind checking it over again? Thanks a bunch. :)

*Question* If I were to add RAM later on to the computer the current RAM I have is 1 8GB 1600. Would I be able to add another one to the motherboard without any issues? Also I read for the motherboard/cpu that it only accepts dual channel memory, is having only 1 8GB instead of 2x4GB not considered as dual channel?

yes 1 8gb stick is not dual channel.

i would recommend a 2x8gb kit though. games use up only about 6gb but compiling and proggraming programs love alot of ram and when compiling can eat as much as 12gb.
but a 2x4 is fine for now...do some research on the programs you use to see if anyone else has had speed increases in compiling with higher ram.:)
