I currently use my pc for low demand gaming, I.E; Counter Strike, Sniper Elite v2, Call of Duty 4, Team Fortress 2, Minecraft. I want to venture into games with high demands like battlefield 3 as i currently play it on xbox but now want to play on PC.

Current Specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
GPU and Power Supply: Integrated Intel, 130w. (This is what obviously needs upgrading.)
Motherboard: Not really sure, all i know is that it has 'Foxconn' written on it. (sorry for the low info on this. Quite embarrassing really.)
Monitor: Resolution-1440x900. PnP Monitor. (Thinking of upgrading monitor too. Possibly have a multiple set up)

I am from the UK and use Amazon.co.uk, Ebuyer.com.

Upgrade price range: up to £200, if possible. (excluding monitors)

Thinking of getting the Asus HD 7770 2GB AMD Radeon with a 750w power supply. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-Builder-Series-Bronze/dp/B008RJZR40/ref=pd_sim_computers_2)

Any information on upgrading my PC would be very helpful.

Thanks, Tom.

Get a 750 watt psu and something like a 7950 will be decent enough for your gaming experience with such a resolution. 750 watt will be good if you would like to make future upgrades.

OP lists the PSU as 130W.

Based on the info I've read, it seems like you have only one PCIe slot for a video card.

If you plan to only run one video card, you need 500W-600W power supply. XFX is another good PSU brand. They just slap their label on PSUs built by Seasonic. There's a really good XFX 550W Core edition supply for £57:

If you decide to upgrade to 1080p monitors or more, you're going to need a better GPU than a 7770. Since you don't need the 750W supply, it would free up pounds for a Radeon 7850 (£142):

750w PSU is waaaay too much. Get a 500w that will be plenty. As far as GPUs go, I recommend the 650ti. Very good low end gaming card that will handle the Battlefield3 game at medium settings. You will however need to increase your budget some depending where you shop.
