How do I adjust the size of a task window to fit to my screen? I have a laptop with a widescreen. I am using a program to do my school work and the window is too big to fit onto my screen and the I can't see the bottom part. There are only options to minimize and close the window on the top right. I also tried to move my cursor to the edges to get the arrows so that I can readjust the size myself but that doesn't happen either. How do I go about solving this problem?

Thanks!

Is your desktop being displayed at its highest native resolution? If you don't know, right click on your desktop. Select screen resolution. Verify that the resolution is set to its highest level.

What resolution are you set at? Also, what application are you having trouble displaying properly?

any strange resolution issues aside, the issue sounds like the program is trying to display the window at a resolution larger then your display can handle which is not all that uncommon. in windowed mode you should be able to get arrows at the edges however they will not appear in maximized mode. if you have windows 7 you can also drag the title bar to the top of the screen and maximize it to your screen. some programs however bypass typical windows controls and instead limit this activity. perhaps the program has a resolution option?

it would help if you listed what program you are trying to use and what resolution your monitor is as well as what resolution you have your windows set to. you may also want to note if you are using windows zoom options or the high contrast/extra large themes.
