I installed 16gb of 2400mhz ram in my motherboard. I didn't know there were limits to the amount you can have and my board can only handle 2133mhz (O.C.)? according to the box. Windows is only showing it running at 1600. Is this fixable or do I have to buy another set of ram at 2133?

It will be easier if you rbios supports XMP profiles. On 2400 mhz ram xmp profile 1 will be 2400mhz @ 1.65 volts and at XMP profile 2 will be 2133 @ 1.65 volt with a little tighter timings that 2400. So just tell it to load or open xmp 2 profile save bios and see what Windows tells you.

I am using the AISuiteII to see what is running. It shows that the maxbandwith is 667MHz. I went to Bios and set it to Profile 1 (because there was only 0 or 1, no 2) but it showed 2133 @ 1.65v on Bios. I am not noticing a difference when I changed it.

I sorta gave up after the last one because I was getting no where and was too afraid of burning out the motherboard or ram. For a little while I was having an issue with the computer going to a black screen randomly and shutting off. I tried testing each stick of ram and each slot individually but never could reproduce the problem. I also haven't seen it happen since.
