Hey All,

I have a question regarding connecting 2 external monitors to my Lenovo Docking Station. This will only be for office use, so no hardcore gaming or anything. I started a new job recently and recieved a Lenovo ThinkPad L430 Laptop along with a lenovo docking station. I currently use a dual monitor setup using the monitor provided to me and the laptop screen working as my other monitor. I have an extra 23" monitor laying around at home and want to bring that in to use dual monitor setup with just the 2 monitors (with the laptop closed). The docking station has both a VGA and DVI port. From what I understand, I can't just use both ports to separate monitors. I also was looking into just getting a DVI splitter, but I think that will just duplicate the image on both screens rather than giving me a true dual monitor setup. My laptop uses the Intel HD 4000 graphics integrated with the CPU. Just to be clear, I want the monitors connected to the docking station and not the laptop itself as I take it home with my every night. So basically, is this possible? What cables will I need? And will I even be able to do a tri monitor setup, with the laptop remaining open? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The docking station is a ThinkPad Mini Dock Series 3 with USB 3.0 (433715U - U.S.)

Perfect, thanks for finding that for me. 2 monitors is all I need. Was hoping I could maybe keep the laptop open as a 3rd for just emails and stuff, but its no big deal. Thanks Again!
