How do I rebuild my RAID 10 (Areca 1882ix-12)?

Monday I had a HDD in my RAID 10 fail. I just got the new drive today, and with the new drive installed, I still have a degraded RAID set. The manual says this is supposed be an automatic rebuild. Am I missing something? Do I have to do something manually? Is it rebuilding? Is there a way to check the status?

Depending on the controller, it may rebuild by itself. There may be a monitoring application for the controller - look at their web site.

Yeah, user manual didn't help. That was my first stop, but I did find the answer in case anyone else has this problem. If you turn your computer off to replace the drive like I did, you must rebuild the set by designating the new drive as a hot spare. The set will only auto rebuild if you replace the drive with the computer still running.
