Need Inputs: Upgrading to an i5 build (on a tight budget) [Ph]

I'm considering to shift from my Phenom II x4 955BE build to the new i5 3570k.

The reason for my upgrade are as follows:

My Rig is around 2years old.
I use my PC a lot for gaming, downloading torents, a little of photo editing and an HTPC.
Electric rates here in the Philippines is quite an issue as well, and I noticed that my build is eating a lot of power when gaming (w/c I use it for the most)

I've been reading about this 3570k and its draws less power that any of the AMD counterpart so I am considering to switch.

My current config is as follows:

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955BE 3.2Ghz (I do OC it from time to time but usually on stock speed to save on the electric bill)
MOBO: Asrock 970 Extreme4
HSF: CM Hyper 212evo
GPU: Sapphire HD 6850 (i think this too needs to be upgraded, electric consumption wise)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 1Tb (i think this one is dying on me)
PSU: FSP Blue Lightning 550W 80+ Bronze
Case: Aerocool Strike X
RAM: 2x2Gb G.Skill Ripjaw

any input is highly appreciated. Do you think this would be a smart move on my part?

PS: I'm considering getting a SSD but I prefer the Samsung 830/840 w/c is not available yet here in the Philippines.

Get the new 7790 when it releases or the 7850

For mb get the gigabyte z77x d3h or the asus v lk whichever one is cheaper

For OC the 3570k is the best (for power savings though you want not want to OC, it does increase power consumption)

For new HDD get the latest gen HDD's (wd blue or seagate 64mb cache ones, more cache and newer denser platters) [wd blacks are not faster, only supposedly higher quality and longer warranty]

im not planning to OC unless there is a need to. the reason i chose 3570k is for future proofing. i know that his baby can match-up with the newer cpu's 3-5yrs from now once OC'd.

about the mobo, is there anything wrong with an asrock z77? i think it's the cheapest on compared to gigabyte and asus.. and is z77 the lowest chipset that can OC a 3570k?

regaring the HDDs, I'm quite on a tight budget so i think i'll give it the least importance from the meant time. but i appreciate your inputs regarding the new HDD technologies,. so i should get those that has 43Mb cache right?. i've also read a lot of forum's regarding storage, and they say that Samsung is also a good choice, i'm not jsut sure about the F3/F4 names of it though.

Btw, what parts do you suggest i replace (besides the mobo and proc obviously)? I can sell them here in the Philippines since http://www.tipidpc.com is a great site to sell used PC parts.

PS:
is this a good deal for me if I sell the Mobo/CPU/HDD for around $225 (converted roughly Php45=USD1)

The gigabyte and asus ones have better power delivery but lose out 2 sata 6 ports (Only needed if running 2+ SSD's). They are cheaper by $15-20
Asrock extreme 4 = $135
Asus v lk = $120
gigabyte z77x d3h = $115

64mb cache one is the one you want to look for

Everything else is good, keep the ram and PSU, FSP is a decent supplier

$225 seems like a pretty good deal for you to sell those parts (new in US is about $250)

unfortunately not

"Can SuperBiiz.com ship internationally?
We no longer offer international shipment for new customers. Existing business account customers that already have an account manager may be eligible for international shipping."

The asus z77 mpro is a better choice though IMO

thank you for your inputs. I'm planning to get any of those recommended mobos. I have 'til end of the month to decide. (still waiting for my referral bonus from work) and for someone to buy my existing mobo/proc/hdd.

I might drop the selling price of those to around ~$200-ish (converted from PhP).

i'll be keeping you posted on my specs until i finalize it. :)

around how much do you think i can sell my Sapphire HD6850?

$70? bnew? and $90 for a bnew HD7770? gpu's there are so much cheaper compared here. lol

I hope i can finish this build before the end of the month. I'm getting excited with the 3570k..

i wonder if it would be cheaper to order overseas + shipping costs.
