I am currently working on build a gaming pc cause the one I have is pretty much crap since it is over 5 years old. This is what I am looking at doing. Just wondering if this will be a good fit. I don't plan on really future proofing anything since I am not buying as many games any more. I limit my self to 2 a year. And pretty much will only be playing BF3 and Splinter cell series as well as the Total War games.

I will be getting a free case from brother for his work with Newegg and I have a res of 1440 x 900 so don't seen the point in going above a 7870. Any feed back would be great.

It will work fine, I highly recomend the PSU because its by Corsair, and thier powersupply is built to last.

I recomend you get 1600mhz DDR3 as it is faster and is like, 5$ more.

A 7870 is something I recomend because youl get good preformance now, and you can add a second one later in crossfire when it starts to slow on new games.

get an 7870 xt not much more than an normal one but a lot better

Yeah I probably should have seen if I could have got better ram from Walmart with my 50 buck gift card. The thing is I am doing this piece·meal per say due to money being tight.
