Hi, I have already ordered a Corsair CX-500watt modular power supply, and am wondering if that will be enough power to run an Sapphire hd 7770 overclocked edition. Was hoping to cancel order because it was on backorder, but went to the site today and it has already been shipped out. Am worried that ill need 600watts or more for this graphics card. Any help would be great thanks.

Specs are
Intel core i5-650 processor
Ati radeon hd 5570
6gb ram
300watt (crap) psu

Solution

Your system will be pulling roughly 250-280 watts

More than enough I would say heres a online calculator for rough idea : http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp

With that PSU and your system you can power a GTX660 HD7870

Since you orderd keep it good if...

Your Corsair CX-500w will be more than enough for your 7770. No worries at all. Enjoy your new PSU and be mindful of static during installation (periodically touch the metal of the case to ground any charge you may be carrying). Enjoy!

not even close you even say it is a crap psu better get an cheap corsair cs 430 watt psu to power the 7770 its cheap and pretty good but you will beter get some good branded 500 watt psu
