my old hp Pavilion a1030 will not wheork when connected directly to my new netgear n600 router I am running xp with service pk3 the router is connected to my earthlink dsl modem the internet only works if the computer is directly connected to the modem. my new laptop with windows 8 works both wireless and when directly connected to the router
