hey, im doing my first build and needed some help on which components to put into it. it will be used mostly for gaming and encoding. i have an idea of the hardware i want but was looking for opinions from more experienced people.

- asus saber tooth z77 mobo
- i7 3770k cpu (probably switch stock fan with cooler master hyper 212 evo)
- corsair vengeance 8gb (4 x 2gb) ddr3
- evga geforce gtx670 graphics card
- 850w thermaltake smart series 80plus bronze psu
- ocz 128 gb vertex 4 series sata 6.0gb/s ssd
- 2 tb seagate hard drive
- liteon 12x bd writer
- thermaltake chaser mk-1 full tower case (maybe add 1 more 200m fan at top of case since this case only comes with one)
- windows 7 OS

sorry if i forgot something, if i did let me know. any questions regarding other things or opinions if i should switch up my parts or go with that would be greatly appreciated :) thanks!

Cut down on that motherboard, instead get an ASRock Z77 Extreme4/6, much cheaper and still offers great features. That board is too overpriced and cooling isn't too effective.

There's no probably between taking out the stock fan and leaving it on. It's not good enough for cooling and it won't be for you if you are going to be doing the media intensive stuff. So hyper 212 Evo is way to go or up it to Noctua NH-D14 for longevity. For motherboard, I would suggest P8Z77 Pro or Deluxe the Sabetooth is not good at cooling, you are pretty much trapping a lot of heat and cooking your motherboard with that design. Change the PSU to something small wattage wise unless you are planning on getting a second card and even then a 750 is more than enough. Get a better case, something like Fractal Design Define XL R2. A nice build like that doesn't need a weird looking case. And do you need a BR writer? If not just grab a decent DVD writer and go from there.
