Fan application direction

I have read a great deal about the push pull configuration but if one does not have a test platform to test the fan output, he or she would not know which direction to place or install the fan to get the needed effect. I have just been told that the Logo on most fans indicate the push direction. In other words the fan pushes toward the side where the logo id placed on the fan face. Is this a correct assumption?

Understood, these Helix-120 fans are very well built and do not seem to have any indication of which way the air flows..So facing the fan on the side that the logo is placed would indicate the direction, being threw the fan and out the otherside..seens strange to try to discribe the action of a fan..lol

Fan direction:
Look at a fan blade. When the CLOSEST part is on the right side the air is moving away from you. Think of the blade as scooping air as it turns to the right (in this orientation) and forcing it back.

Push-Pull:
Both fans face the same direction, usually (but not always) moving air from inside the case to outside the case.

*You can also test by using a PIECE OF PAPER. It will either blow away or be sucked in towards the fan.
