I am a beginner and i don't know much about building a PC.
Anyway i would be trying it. :D

I have Selected the Following components :
Processor : AMD A10-5800K
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA F2A85X-UP4
RAM : G-skill F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT
Cabinet : Cooler Master Elite 310
PSU : Corsair CX430

Please tell me if any of these would be incompatible with each other. Also please suggest a not-so-costly good HDD. Any other suggestion to cut the budget would be welcomed. I am not so insistent about any particular of these but I do a lot of video editing, conversion and other demanding things and hence prefer this particular processor + integrated GPU saves money ;)  . And any other Cabinet with USB 3 or addition to existing one which gives USB 3 would do great.

Budget is about $400.

Thanks. :)

What is your budget? Let's start there.

Not necessarily. Unless you set it up right the onboard video will become a massive strain on your CPU. The A10s are good for basic tasks, not much more than that. If you want to do video editing it is recommended that you get a GPU.

Also, would adding a sound card do any good because the PC would be used for movies and music too. If yes, suggest one of that too. And any other Cabinet with USB 3 or addition to existing one which gives USB 3 would do great.

You don't need a sound card. Save your money there. Again need budget and store you are buying from before I suggest a system.

hard drives go with wd blue.
if you think your going to add a video card latter in this pc get a bigger power supply.

About $80-90 for HDD.
How is Seagate Barracuda 500 GB???

And i do use Sony Vegas for editing and stuff, so wouldn't the APU suffice???

Oh yeah, one more thing...
The MOBO supports DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules.
However the AMD's website says the APU's DDR3 has a speed of 1866MHz.

Does that mean i cannot use a RAM with 1066MHz or is that the max RAM speed the APU supports????
