Hi when Windows 8 was finally released to the public I upgraded my system. Everything works fine except for a glitch with the screen brightness. Whenever I unplug the laptop from it's charger, the screen automatically goes dark. When I plug it back in, it becomes bright again.
I have tried a few methods to resolve this issue but nothing seems to work:
• Disabled and re-enabled Adaptive Screen Brightness.
• Manually adjusting screen brightness through power options (unavailable).
• Re-installed VGA driver from OEM's website.
• Used "Fn" key shortcut to increase brightness (did nothing).
Does anybody know how to fix this? If so could you please help? Thank you!
