Hello, i'm looking into buying 3 screens and i need some help choosing.
There is like a thousand different screens out there and i have no idea what company and model to choose.
My budget is about 700$ or 460£ but i can stretch it a little if neccesary.

I'm running with a GTX 660 and have no thoughts of gaming with 3 screens, i know i can't do that, but here is what i need:
1 middle screen for gaming, 23-24", 1080p, probably TN screen?
1 right screen for movies and browsing, i guess the same size will look best, 1080p, maybe IPS?
1 left screen for photoshop and other designing, again the same size would look nice, 1080p, i don't care the screen type, but it would be lovely if i can turn the screen so i have 1080x1920 instead of 1920x1080.

Now is it impossible to find some screens that can do so and still look close to the same and maybe with a little low bezel?
And i have heard to have the same resolution on all screens is best, can anyone confirm that?

Ofcause it would be nice if the models are new, like 2013 models, i can wait a month or two if it's a nice setup :)

Any help is appreciated :)

Why buy an IPS monitor

An In-Plane Switching or IPS screen offers much better viewing angles than do regular LCD or TN screens. With TN screens, if you look at your monitor at an angle, the colors become washed out. The greater the angle, the worse it becomes.

IPS screens also produce more accurate looking colors than TN screens and do so consistently. Overall, IPS screens offer much clearer and better looking images.

On the other hand, the price for getting a better picture is that an IPS screen tends to have increased power consumption and are pricier compared to regular TN LCD screens. But strictly in terms of picture quality, IPS screens are vastly superior. There are six types of panels: TN (twisted nematic), IPS (in-plane...
Why 3 screens, you don't plan to do all those tasks at the same time do you?

My son used to have a couple of 19" screens for his gaming rig, just replaced it with a nice 32" Toshiba FullHD TV and the image is fantastic, no visible image bleed when gaming, he likes stuff like Deadspace, Arma and Flight Sims and cost £350 from Currys, also has his PS3 and has freeview, so I get to use the its big brother downstairs for my movies and footy :D

Bigcyco1 that screen sure does look good but i still wonder..
if i look on new screens they have like 80 million:1 DCR, that one only have 8 million, is that bad?
and the 7ms delay is that not extremely high when you can get new screens with 1ms?
Also what about gaming, i can see that is a IPS screen and i have heard that they aren't matching the TN in gaming?

das_stig i have no intention to use them for that at the same time, but i do play a lot of FPS so a gaming screen would be nice.
I am also a web and software developer and i promise you, 3 screens is way better than 1.

and then i just thought that it would be nice to have screen i can use for gaming, another for movies and a third when i am working.

For the purposes of this article we'll compare the differences between IPS and TN panels. If you'd like to read more about each panel type, then I recommend you take a look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD .
