I have an old Dell Inspiron Desktop, it runs fine, but it won't load windows without hitting F1 first. Not sure if something got changed in the bios when the grandkids played on it. Help, it is so annoying to have to hit F1 everytime you turn it on. Any suggestions appreciated.

check your bios. typically this happens when a bios setting fails and it asks for f1 to bypass said fail and loads lower settings for what ever the failed to boot correctly component was. its possible your grandkids could have changed a setting to something your hardware might not like. reset the defaults in bios if all else fails!

It might be a dead battery on your motherboard too (it keep the bios setting so when it's dead, the bios is like new and ask for settings and F1 is load defaults and continue)
