Better to upgrade my CPU or GPU?! (for gaming)

Current Specs:
AMD Phenom x4 965 BE
HIS 7770 OC Edition
8GB Ram

Games played:
WoW, BF3, SC2 Hots. I want to buy Crysis 3 but I was going to wait till I upgrade.

For the CPU, one of the Eight-Core AMD's and for the GPU Crossfire 7770's. I'm not 100% sure what will effect my gaming more. I feel as the Processor is the better option to upgrade but you tell me!

Hi Jawny,

The cpu woulnt give you much towards gaming. The upgrade to crossfire would. Then save for a new motherboard and cpu combination whenever you can.

Sorry, not sure if my last reply went to your reply.
I'm little worried about bottle necking as well. Should I be? If I crossfire my 7770.

Two 7770s in a crossfire configuration would give you almost 7950 performance.

You have a pretty good processor as it stands. With the exception of MMORPGs which are more CPU-dependent anyhow (can't do much about this), A CPU upgrade won't make as much of a difference with modern games.
