Sound Blaster Recon 3D Professional now or Xonar Essense STX later?

I just got some Sennheiser PC151s, and my USB sound card broke. I'm in the market for a new sound card, and I'm wondering if I should buy a Creative Sound Blaster Recon 3D Fatal1ty Professional or wait about 2 months for my birthday and get an ASUS Xonar Essence STX? I just want to know what you would do if you had the options.

I disagree with that, if my Xense is anything to go by. I would agree the Z is a MUCH better option, as the Recon3D lineup is basically crap.

If you need to go cheaper then that, the ASUS Xonar DGX is a very good card for its price (~$30).
