So I upgraded my PC like a month ago but I still have a very old Dell TFT monitor. So I found this LG 24EA53VQ, it's called like this in the netherlands. But on newegg It's this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I think it's the same one. And here a link of the Dutch LG website: http://www.lg.com/nl/monitoren/lg-24EA53VQ-ips

What do you guys think..?

It is 23.8 inch, has VGA + DVI + HDMI, 5ms response, mega contrast ratio and is of course an IPS.

*It's on discount in the netherlands here, making it the same price as on newegg. Usually it's around 190 euros, but I can get it for 172 euros now. (which is still a little more than 220 USD)

Well i can tell you that LG is thourogh and consistent on their specs, and base testings are same for all of their monitors and TV-s. http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-M2362D-lcd-monitor

I've got this one. Same response time like yours, loooower contrast than yours, colors on yours are better. Since i can tell you from first hand that you won't see any motion blur, any flickering and everything will be sharp and crispy, my advice would be to grab one. It's great piece of equipment.

Man I am looking at this exact monitor. I'm just worried about the screen uniformity. Can someone take a a picture of a pure black screen in a darkened room and post it?
