I dont know what games he plays honestly but i know he recently got a new star wars game that has 3 of the best star wars games in it or something like that. He is new to PC gaming. he has been playing for a few months now and i just want to get him something he would love. I dont care about pricing all too much i just want the best for him. Oh and he built his own PC so i dont know if that changes anything.

You sound like an awesome GF. haha, I'm sure he'd love any gaming keyboard you get him since he's relatively new to pc gaming, but I would recommend him the corsair k95 that's coming out soon, and if your anniversary is a little ways away: http://www.corsair.com/k95

If its coming up soon, just go with a razer keyboard, like the black widow: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow-ultimate-2013

My friend has that one, and its a GREAT keyboard! I personnally have the corsair k60: http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-k60-performance-fps-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html

But its more for first person shooter games and such, but its a great all around keyboard too.

I'll make a few suggestions and try to give a brief description, since there isn't much information to make just a single suggestion.

The following are mechanical keyboards. These keyboards make a noticeably loud click when you press them, some people find these better for both typing and gaming because of the responsiveness of the key presses.

Corsair Vengeance K90 - what makes this one special is that it has 18 programmable keys which are very useful for certain types of games, but also useful outside of games too. Not all the keys are mechanical, the programmable keys and some of the less used keys aren't mechanical but it doesn't make much of a difference.
Corsair Vengeance K60 - basically like the K90 but without the back lit keys or the programmable keys, has a palm rest that might be useful for some games.

The following are membrane keyboards, keyboards that have "soft" keys that don't click when you press them down which makes them considerably more quiet than mechanical keyboards.

Logitech G510 - Has 18 programmable keys which can be programmed in sets of three for each individual application, again, useful in certain games, and also useful outside of them. Also has a little screen which displays some information, some games have native support, but it can display information outside of games too.
Logitech G13 - Well this isn't really a keyboard, it's more of a key pad, but it's very nice for games. You can use it in any game, since all the keys are programmable, including the thumb stick which can either act as a mouse or movement keys. It has a little screen that functions just like the Logitech G510. Only problem with it is where to place it, as you still will need a regular keyboard to chat with people in games. If anything, I would highly suggest the G13 for someone who wants to game.
