Hello All,

So I am looking to buy 2 of the Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition's (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202001) and I was reading different reviews and they say that due to the weight of the cards there could be some sagging and this could damage the GPU/MB in the long run.

I know that there is a support that you can buy which will take care of 1 GPU, but is there anything that I can use to support 2 GPUs?

I also know that everyone mentions going with the HAF X case by Cooler Master, but I would like to stick with the case that I picked out, which is the Fractal Design Define R4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352023&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=).

Are there any brackets/braces that will take care of the sagging issue?

Are there any other DIY solutions that can take care of this issue, but look good, since my case will have a window?

Thank you all in advance for the help.

Why not just buy two of the single GPU supports?

Either that or just jury-rig one yourself. You learn to be good at this when you decide to water cool - most of an enthusiast's computer is made of duct tape, velcro, zip-ties, and scraps of metal and wood.

The single GPU option supports the GPU from the bottom of the case. So it would only be able to support one GPU.

So use your imagination! Use the single support on the bottom GPU and jury-rig a plastic or rubber strut to then support the top GPU.

Would something like that cause the bottom GPU to be squashed since you are using it to support the top GPU?

Squashed? These things are made of metal and plastic - it's not going to compress.

There is a risk of it being pushed out of the socket a little if you don't do it right, but if you put the support on the outside corner, on top of the support to the ground, any pressure is going to go through the GPU shroud and down the support of the bracket. You'll be fine.
