Hey guys! I really could use some help. I just recently got a new gpu, the diamond radeon hd 7850 to be specific. With that I upgraded my psu to 800w. After installing all the parts correctly and turning on my computer, it brings me up to the bios splash screen, like it normally does, although once it reaches this point, it doesn't continue. It will continue to sit there, until I force shut down or restart. Without the gpu in my computer works great, so I don't know if it has to do with compatibility or..? Someone please help.
My other specs include:
I7 3770 CPU
1 tb barracuda harddrive
8 gb of ram
800w gaming power supply
Intel DH67BL board
Have you tried going to the bios flash and change the southbridge settings or gfx settings to find the PCI-e?
I haven't! That would be something I would try in the morning. Although I should add that I became desperate and put my old heat damaged i5 in to see if it would work, and it did. So I don't know if the i7 and gpu are just not cooperating. I also have updated my BIOS
There shouldnt be a compatibility issue with the i7 and gfx card, you may be having a issue with the i7 itself, such as the pins are bent, or you haven't securely put it in. Let me know how that works.
