I have just built a new PC which is

i5 3470
gigabyte gtx 660
ga-b75m-d3h
2x4gb 8gb kingston ram
120gb ssd
1tb hhd

after installing the os onto ssd i can not get my user account to be stored on my hdd, im pretty sure this is causing the mouse to play up because i only use 10% of my cpu when running 3 displays with 3 videos at 1080p i fail to see how my mouse would be lagging unless its a hardware issue but i have no idea?

so please need on how to only have OS on ssd and all program files and other files on hdd?
and why my mouse is lagging im guess that is the problem but ^^^

Many times when I install windows freshly my mouse likes lagging at the beginning.
This can happen due to many things, such as intensive page filing, pre fetch and some other storage intensive programs. Oddly enough, I have experienced serious mouse lag even when my CPU runs at idle.
Best way to diagnose it is to check what might be eating at your system resources. Try going to: RUN -> perfmon -> click on OPEN RESOURCE MONITOR, then have a look through the different tabs and rank the lists according to activity.

Although I doubt it might be the problem, check if your mouse needs specific drivers (you never know) or even if your mouse batteries are running out (if you are using a wireless one). Restarting a couple of times for the first flood of updates might make it better, else try switching the USB ports around (chipset driver installed?).

PS. I would like to know how you are trying to store your user account on a separate hard drive away from your installation drive. Either this is new to me, or you could be messing up windows. I manage fine with a 120GB SSD, while only changing the default storage directories to alternative location on a separate hard drive. Have you looked at guides for optimizing windows for a SSD yet?

thanks NduPlessis,

My processes seem to be running fine, nothing draws to much attention. My drivers for mouse and batteries are all up to date so thats fine there but after installing OS wid7(64bit) and all the drivers on my ssd my mouse seem to slow up and i had no idea why. but i did research a bit on the topic and found that you can install program files user accounts ect onto your hdd while installing OS onto your ssd. It is alot of coding and im not willing to give it try. ill link the video

So i am not willing to try this but if anyone has had luck or knows anything more about the mouse issue please help
