so, i have a desktop, planning to put the BTX mobo into a different case, anyways, im wanting to put a CPU fan onto the cpu, but, im not sure if the Motherboard supports PWM, is there anyway to tell?

If the motherboard has a 4-pin CPU fan header then the fan's speed is controlled by the 4th pin that is the PWM (pulse-width modulation) control signal that provides variable speed control.

If it's just a 3-pin CPU fan header then the fan speed is controlled by varying the voltage level.
