Im building my PC and was just wondering what kind of PSU i should be looking at and what HD7970 i should buy, i was thinking of buying
http://www.waeplus.co.uk/item/155743/AMD-Radeon-HD-7970-DOUBLE-DISSIPATION-ED?ref=gooshop but people said that the xfx card gets pretty hot especially if you run CF. I was also going to buy

Is this PSU good and reliable and is the xfx 7970 a good choice? If you want to know the spec for the rest of the computer im buying just give me a shout.

Thanks all :)

For a system using a single AMD Reference Design Radeon HD 7970 graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 38 Amps or greater and have at least one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

For a system using two AMD Reference Design Radeon HD 7970 graphics cards in 2-way CrossFireX mode AMD specifies a minimum of an 750 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 58 Amps or greater and have at least...

I conclude your 750 watt powersupply will do the job nicely. But that depends if you want to add more hardware. AMD self say a 500 watt high efficientcy power supply will do for a normal setup:
1 HD, 1 vga etc.

Both hardware are good. The 7970 is almost the fastest ATI card there is.....
If you game at high resolution, that is one nice vga card.

For future reference, check this link for your future VGA card buys:

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C is the most important factor.

The Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 (SKU# CMPSU-750TXV2), with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 62 Amps and with four (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is way more than sufficient to power your system configuration with a single Radeon HD 7970 graphics card. It is also sufficient to power your system configuration with two Radeon HD 7970 graphics cards in 2-way CrossFireX mode.
