Hey Guys, I've Been Looking into a New Custom Computer for a Long time.

I Need help choosing a motherboard.

Asus P8Z77-V LGA 1155

ASRock X79 LGA 2011.

I Am Looking to Pay the Extra money if the LGA 2011 is worth it.

If i Buy the lGA 1155 the CPu is Going to be: i5-3570k

If i But LGA 2011 The CpU going to Be: i7-3820

The 3820 is a bit of a dog. If you're going to go with Socket 2011, get a 3930k or better.

do a list...
on left side write relatively less hw intensive stuff you do - games, watching video, etc...
on the right side write resources heavy tasks and programs you frequently use - stuff to edit video, cad, maya, blender....
and see which side wins>
left side - 1155
right side - 2011

I agree with this. If you get LGA 2011 get a 6 core CPU. There is not really any point of spending extra on the LGA 2011 platform and putting a quad in it.

Would the right side also include Photoshop and/or ProTools?

AFAIK
PS6 should be multi-core friendly (at least a part of it). 4 cores are the sweet spot, but the more, the merrier... I'd put it right.
Pro Tools should be the same (but will require more tweaking to get optimal performance if I remember correctly). Also right...
