I have the sapphire 7850 OC edition, i can run it at 1050mhz core no problem on 1.138v

I'm trying to get it running at 1100mhz using Sapphire Trixx. I can do 15 mmin burn in with furmark and my temps don't reach 60c, i can benchtest in 3d mark no problem but when I play BF3 I get BSOD, sometimes immediatly sometimes 15 minutes into a game.

This is my first PC, what voltage do you think I could reach without worrying? I tried 1.143v and it still wasn't stable. Should I just stick at 1050 or push up my voltage. My 3d mark score at 1100mhz made me very happy, but I can't afford to burn out my card.

Well, the reference design for a 7850 is 860MHz. A 22% overclock is very high. Plus a 7850 was a bad yeild to begin with, otherwise it would have grown up to be a 7870. Chips are "binned". I'd set it at 900 MHz and leave it. Or perhaps get a 7970 GHz edition and OC it.

But even then, overclocking is generally "played with" on CPU's and certain ones at that. The i7-2700K comes to mind.
